A federally designated Center for Environmental Studies which supports several research programs and sponsors technical training in environmental abatement and graduate programs in toxicology and allied environmental disciplines.
Co-managed a staff of 6 - 8 on a project to evaluate lead hazards in residential housing. Responsible for developing a data quality control program, a process and format for statistical tables, graphs and figures, charged with editorial decisions over all technical documentation, and provided database management training for city health departments and public housing agencies at several locations across the United States.
Developed a data quality control program which demonstrated an improvement in data accuracy from an error rate of over 26% at the start of the program to a rate of approximately 1% at the program’s conclusion
Conceived and implemented a strategy to produce a document format and reporting structure that would present a comprehensive set of statistical data. Conducted an analysis, fact-finding and resolution process for an unexpected, serious problem that prevented continuation of data entry on a five year, national study. Both immediate and long term solutions were instituted that reinstated the use of the software for the duration of the project
